Mobile World Congress 2014 is just a few days away to kick off. The event which does hold in Spain every year showcases upcoming Smartphones, tablets & range of other device & services. The event will last for four days, 24th – 27th February 2014. Before we move on to the expected announcements from the event it is worth mentioning that Facebook founder & CEO Mark Zuckerberg will be headlining at the first of the week’s Mobile World Live keynote sessions on Monday, 24th February at 18:00-18:45. Here are some of the most expected product announcements which will be made on MWC 2014.
Samsung undoubtedly will be the event’s main highlight this year. Samsung has already announced an unpacked event which will take place on February 24, and is poised to steal the show with the announcement of Samsung Galaxy S5. Galaxy S5 is expected to feature Snapdragon 800 chipset with a Krait 400 quad-core CPU @2.5GHz and LTE Cat. 4 (150Mbps downlink). Galaxy S5 is also rumored to be launched in two different versions as Apple did with 5s & 5c models. The display is rumored to be a 5.25” QHD (2560 x 1600 pixels) resolution. Most likely it’ll be PenTile Super AMOLED and will have noticeable visual improvements over Galaxy S4. Galaxy S5 is expected to sport a 16MP/20MP Camera with 1080p video recording. It is a bit let down for a video recording as we expected UHD recording just like Galaxy Note 3. Other features are Finger Print Scanner, 3GB RAM, Adreno 330 GPU, Android 4.4.2 KitKat, 32GB expandable storage and a 3,000mAh battery. The body material isn’t quite confirmed as of yet, we cannot say that whether it’ll be Metallic or plastic? But they really need to turn the game as they’ve been really bad with the design as compared to the rivals HTC, iPhone. Following are some of the leaked Images:
